The minor in anthropology is deliberately broad and flexible, so that students can use it to supplement their main major. It complements many different majors, across the spectrum of humanities, social sciences, pre-law, pre-health, pre-business, and most other disciplines.
Curriculum
A minor in anthropology requires the completion of five courses within the department—no more than two of which can be at the 100-level.

Suggested Sequence of Courses
The Anthropology Minor is deliberately broad and flexible, requiring any five Anthropology (ANTH) classes, only two of which can be at the 100-level. Students are generally encouraged to take the two (2) 100-level classes first, and are advised that ANTH 101 Human Origins and ANTH 100 Globalization and Local Cultures or ANTH 102 Culture, Society, and Diversity are often pre-requisites for other upper-level classes. But there is not set or recommended sequence.
