Computers are extremely pervasive in the modern world, and important connections have been established between computer science and virtually every other field of study. Thus, a computer science minor is a valuable enhancement to majors in other fields, whether in the sciences, social sciences, arts, humanities, business, etc.

Learning Outcomes

• By the end of the program, students shall be able to use foundational computational tools and apply discrete mathematics topics to solve types of problems arising in computer science.
• Students shall be able to write computer programs in at least one high-level programming language.
• Students shall be able to explain concepts and exemplars at a more advanced level in one or more areas of computer science such as data structures, algorithms, computer architecture, software engineering, databases, and networking.
