URDU 101 Introductory Urdu I (3 Credit Hours)
This course is an introduction to the Urdu language. No previous knowledge is assumed. It also introduces the Urdu script.
Interdisciplinary Option: Asian Studies, Islamic World Studies
Students will be introduced to the spoken language and the script in which Urdu is written

Pre-requisites: URDU 101
This course is a continuation of URDU 101. The course imparts basic grammatical structures and vocabulary of Urdu as well as greater familiarity in reading and writing using the Urdu script.

Students will be able to develop basic proficiency in the language and will be able to speak, read and write in simple sentences at the elementary level
